Roy L. Quinn

<p>Roy Lee Quinn, Jr., 75, went home to be with the Lord, March 9, 2010. He was born on September 27, 1934, to Roy and Beulah Quinn, Sr.</p><p><br></p><p> Roy accepted Christ at the age of 28 and was a dedicated member for 46 years at St. James The Armory, under the leadershiop of the late Bishop William Morgan James, Sr., now William James, Jr.</p><p><br></p><p> He served a term in the United Stated Army and was honorably discharged. Roy was a Welder for Art Iron for 30 years until his retirement.</p><p><br></p><p> Roy enjoyed tearing things apart and rebuilding them. His famous phrase was "I'm gonna fix it".</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p> Roy was preceded in death by his wife, Flossie and son, Roy, III, sisters Arlene Hamilton and Madeline Quinn and mother, Beulah Jennings.</p><p><br></p><p> Roy is survived by 6 children, Sylvia (David) Holt, Leesa, Anthony (Teria), Sonya, Jenna and Christina Quinn, all of Toledo; 5 sisters, Wilma (Melvin) Smith, Alberta Witcher, Constance Quinn, Leona (Lawson) Muncell, Donzella (Jay) Clark-Moody; 5 brothers, Gerald (Dorothea), Charles (Martha), James (Irma), David (Donnie), and Kermit Quinn; 9 grandchildren, Marc, Anthony, II, Jewlia, Jeyda, Joirdin, Emmanuel, JaiDen, Elisha and Elijah, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many, many friends.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p> Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 12th at 12 noon, at St. James (The Armory) Church, 3319 Nebraska Ave, viewing will begin at 11:00am at the church, Woodlawn Cemetery.</p>
