Roy L. Quinn Obituary

Roy Lee Quinn, Jr., 75, went home to be with the Lord, March 9, 2010. He was born on September 27, 1934, to Roy and Beulah Quinn, Sr.


Roy accepted Christ at the age of 28 and was a dedicated member for 46 years at St. James The Armory, under the leadershiop of the late Bishop William Morgan James, Sr., now William James, Jr.


He served a term in the United Stated Army and was honorably discharged. Roy was a Welder for Art Iron for 30 years until his retirement.


Roy enjoyed tearing things apart and rebuilding them. His famous phrase was "I'm gonna fix it".



Roy was preceded in death by his wife, Flossie and son, Roy, III, sisters Arlene Hamilton and Madeline Quinn and mother, Beulah Jennings.


Roy is survived by 6 children, Sylvia (David) Holt, Leesa, Anthony (Teria), Sonya, Jenna and Christina Quinn, all of Toledo; 5 sisters, Wilma (Melvin) Smith, Alberta Witcher, Constance Quinn, Leona (Lawson) Muncell, Donzella (Jay) Clark-Moody; 5 brothers, Gerald (Dorothea), Charles (Martha), James (Irma), David (Donnie), and Kermit Quinn; 9 grandchildren, Marc, Anthony, II, Jewlia, Jeyda, Joirdin, Emmanuel, JaiDen, Elisha and Elijah, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many, many friends.




Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 12th at 12 noon, at St. James (The Armory) Church, 3319 Nebraska Ave, viewing will begin at 11:00am at the church, Woodlawn Cemetery.
