Devereux T. Johnson (Thelma) was born in Orange, VA on November 5, 1929 to the late Benjamin and Mamie Lewis. She received her wings on Sunday, December 8, 2019 at George Washington Hospital, Washington, DC. Thelma was preceded in death by brothers Richard, James, John and Charles Lewis; sisters Martha Weekes, Ruby Barkley, Josie Lewis, Ida Johnson, Evelyn Waugh and one grandson Maurice Woodfork. She leaves to cherish her memories, two daughters Vivian Jarrell (Rudy), Brenda Waugh (James Reynolds), son Michael Lynch; six grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by sisters, Mamie "Naomi" Thompson (Earl), Orange, VA; Janice M. Lewis, Raleigh, NC; and Patricia Williams-Clemons (Houston), Fredericksburg, VA. Also, sisters-in-law Anna and Mattie Lewis of Virginia. A host of nephews, nieces, other relatives and a devoted friend Delois Drewery. As all can see she was loved by many many people.
