Barbara Jeanette “Janie” Hurley, age 76, of Iuka, KY passed away Thursday, December 12, 2019 at Parkview Nursing and Rehab in Paducah. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church in Smithland. She was a retired Correctional Officer with Kentucky Department of Corrections and was a Kentucky Colonel. Survivors include one daughter, Sheila Stone-Revelett & husband, Steve, Grand Rivers, KY; three sons, Jeffrey Leon P’Poole & wife, Barbara, Kuttawa, KY; Jason Dennis Hurley, Marion, KY and Scott Ragon Hurley & wife, Elizabeth, Marion, KY; one sister, Sharon Bognar & husband, Robert, Fishers, IN; nine grandchildren, Bradley Stone & Donna, Cory Stone & Andrea, Savannah McLeod & husband, Mitch, Jill Baker & husband, Reid, Melanie P’Poole and fiancé, T.J. Peek, Lydia P’Poole, Brandon Geddings, Michael Hurley and Jase Hurley; three great grandchildren, Brady Stone, Liam Stone and Vivian McLeod, two nieces, Robyn Bognar and Jennifer Marrs, one great nephew, Benjamin Alexander Marrs and one great niece, Ella Grace Marrs. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Norbin “Nubbin” Hurley, her parents, Vivian and Louise Hight Grace, one brother, Donald Gene Grace and one granddaughter, Holly Jeanette Childress. Visitation will be Sunday, December 15, from 2:00 pm until 6:00 pm at Lakeland Funeral Home in Eddyville, KY. Funeral services will be at 10:00 am on Monday, December 16, at the funeral home with Rev. Darvin Stom officiating. Burial will follow in McMurray Cemetery in Livingston County.
