Edith Dorine Frey, daughter of the late Glen and Clara (Compton) Brown, was born March 7, 1932, in Topeka, Kansas, and passed away at her home in Huggins, Missouri, on December 13, 2019. She was 87 years, 9 months, and 6 days of age. Edith married Raymond Albert Frey on September 14, 1951, in Hardy, Arkansas. Two daughters, Deborah and Desma, were born to this union. Edith worked as a seamstress for Rawlings Sporting Goods for many years. In her later years she enjoyed many adventures with her daughter Desma, such as white water rafting, hiking in the mountains, digging crystals, balloon and helicopter rides. Spending time with her great-granddaughter, Lailie, was her greatest joy. Besides her parents, Edith was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond, on August 15, 2009, her daughter, Deborah Frey, three brothers, and one sister. She is survived by one daughter, Desma Hutsell of Huggins, Missouri, one brother, Roy Brown of St. Louis, Missouri, one granddaughter, Autumnrose, and one great-granddaughter, Lailie Rose. She was a loving woman with a huge heart and open door. She will be dearly missed by many other neighbors, relatives, and friends whose lives she touched.
