Richard "Rockin' Rick" Russell Jr.

Richard Ray Russell Jr, “Rockin’ Rick”, 63, passed away on December 11, 2019 at Parkland Medical Center in Derry, NH after battling Pancreatic cancer. He was born January 12, 1956 in Landstuhl, Germany, son of Joan (Kenneway) Freeman and the late Richard Ray Russell Sr. Rick grew up in Hopewell, VA. In his senior year, the family moved to Derry, NH where he graduated from Pinkerton Academy. Rick worked construction early in his career and owned and operated Master Builders Construction Co. building homes in Hampton, NH and completing various other projects on the seacoast. Tragically, Rick was in a severe motorcycle accident which ended his career in building. Rick turned to his artistic side starting out in drawing and wood carving, which led to his final career in tattooing. Rick was also a well known and respected tattoo artist in Raymond, NH at Rockin’ Rick’s Tattoo Shack for many years. He resided in Derry, NH and was a former 40 year resident of Raymond. Rockin’ Rick was a Harley Davidson motorcycle enthusiast. One of Rick's proud accomplishments was his brotherhood with the Iron Eagles Motorcycle Club in Derry, NH where Rick wrote the motorcycle clubs by-laws and was their former Sergeant-at-arms. Rick enjoyed restoring classic cars. His “baby” was his fully restored 1949 Ford Business Coupe. Rick's passion was painting motorcycles and cars with custom paint designs. Rockin’ Rick had many friends and his family fondly spoke of the many motorcycle group parties that were held at their home. He will be sadly missed by all that knew him. He is survived by his mother Joan Freeman, 5 children, Tiffany (Russell) Hudson , Tyler Russell, Eric Russell , Mellisa Denny, Kayla Corona, his grandchildren, Kobe, Braedan, Addison, Landon, Ian, Olivia, Madelyn, David, Emily, Ryan, sister, Debbie Russell, brother, Frank Jordaens and his faithful dog, Lilly. Visiting hours will be held on Monday, December 16, 2019 from 5:00-7:00 PM at the Brewitt Funeral Home, Raymond, NH. A celebration of his life will follow at Rick's favorite restaurant, Bonsai's, Candia Rd, Manchester In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to assist the family with expenses.
