Alice M. Holm

Alice M. Holm (nee Duval), age 89, a longtime resident of Plainfield, IL passed away peacefully on December 12, 2019. She was born on December 5, 1930 in Kankakee, IL. Alice is survived by her children James (Gail) Cleary and Michael Cleary; her step-children James (Missy Livingston) Holm, Alicia (William) Bever, and Cynthia (Robert) Welter; her numerous grandchildren, step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and step-great-grandchildren; her brother George (Marge) Duval; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband Charles H. Holm, who passed away in 2011; her parents Antoinette and Oliver Duval; her daughter Mary E. (Patrick) Hickey; her brother Robert (Marie) Duval. Alice worked as a teller for various banks for many decades. She will be remembered as being a great cook and an avid fan of the Chicago Cubs, but mostly for the love she held for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be deeply missed. Visitation will be Sunday, December 15 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Overman-Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services 15219 S. Joliet Rd. Plainfield, IL 60544. A private interment will take place at a later date at Woodlawn Memorial Park, Joliet, IL.
