Cynthia B. Prefontaine, 93, of Berlin, NH, and formerly of Worcester, MA, passed away on Wednesday, December 11, 2019 at the Coos County Nursing Home. She was born in Worcester, MA on April 27, 1926 the daughter of the late Frank and Rena (Chamberlain) Merritt and lived most of her life there. She came to Berlin in 2017. Cynthia was a lifelong member of the Tatnuck First Congregational Church in Worcester where she was very active and was a member of the Fellowship of the Church. She was happiest when she was working in her garden and when she was helping people. Her family meant everything to her. She will be missed by her daughter Sandra Reardon of Berlin, NH; grandson Brian Adams and Stacey of Manchester, NH; great grandchildren Ty and Abby; brother Paul Merritt and wife Debbie of Millis, MA; nieces. She was predeceased by her twin brother, Cyril Merritt and another brother, Benn Merritt. A memorial service will be held at the Tatnuck First Congregational Church in Worcester, MA on Saturday, May 30, 2020 at 1:00 PM. Interment will be in Grove Cemetery in Holden, MA.
