Shirley Ann Addison, 78, of Newton died Wednesday, December 11, 2019 at Archbold Memorial Hospital in Thomasville. Graveside funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 14 at Union Baptist Church Cemetery in Doerun with Rev. Robert Lewis officiating. Born March 10, 1941 in Doerun, GA, Mrs. Addison was the daughter of the late James Allen and Uriel Parker Allen. She was married to the late Jack Thomas Addison. Mrs. Addison retired from Coats and Clark, after 41 years of service. She was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. Survivors include two sons, Vince Addison of Patmos and Jamey Addison & fiancé, Connie Collins, of Newton; two brothers, Loyal Allen of Covington and William Allen of Destin, FL; one sister, Barbara Adams of Greenough; six grandchildren, Jamey Addison, Jr., Nicole Addison, Ashley Harrell, Abigail Addison, Jordyn Lewis, and Dalton Davis; and nine great grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6 – 8 p.m. Friday, December 13 at Parker-Bramlett Funeral Home in Camilla. Parker-Bramlett Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
