Henderson - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Thursday, December 12, 2019, at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Henderson for Helen Nell Rabeaux, 87, who passed away on Monday, December 9, 2019, at her home The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Wednesday and continue on Thursday at 7:00 am until 10:30 am. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm on Wednesday. Msgr. Jefferson DeBlanc will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Interment will follow at in Calvary Cemetery. Helen, lovingly called Nell, was born in Breaux Bridge to the late Simon and Alice Guidry Dauphine. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. Nell was a faithful parishioner of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Henderson and a member of the Ladies Altar Society and Come Lord Jesus prayer group. She loved working in her flower bed and spending time with her family. She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed cooking big meals for her family. Sweet dough pies were just one of her many specialties. Nell will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, Joseph C. Rabeaux; sons, Mike Rabeaux (Merna), Neil Rabeaux, and Chris Rabeaux; daughters, Gwen Guilbeaux (Gordy), Cathy Latiolais (Jerome), Jill Dirk, Becki Miller (Randy), Dana Bonin (Burt), and Kim Poirier (Ken); brothers, Donald Dauphine (Jacqueline) and Tommy Dauphine (Renee); sister, Jean Landry (Wade); brother-in-law, Eldrick Tauzin; 19 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Simon and Alice Guidry Dauphine; sister, Gerry Tauzin; granddaughter, Cassie Miller; and great grandson, Raylon Rabeaux. Pallbearers will be Mike Rabeaux, Neil Rabeaux, Chris Rabeaux, Gordy Guilbeaux, Jerome Latiolais, Randy Miller, Burt Bonin, and Ken Poirier. Honorary pallbearer will be Greg LeBlanc.
