Earl Hauth, 81 year old Woodward resident, died Tuesday, December 10, 2019 in Mooreland. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 14, 2019 in the Billings Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery.

Wiley Earl Hauth was born on July 6, 1938 at the family home in Beaver County, Oklahoma to Quannah and Goldie Hamilton Hauth Bell. Earl grew up in Laverne and Woodward and graduated from Woodward High School in 1957. He was married to Doris Dennett at the Crown Heights Baptist Mission in Woodward on January 18, 1959. They made their first home in Woodward and have lived here since that time. Earl worked at various places including, Woodward Livestock, Boomer Packing, Hauth Packing, and Woodward County as District #3 County Commissioner as well as a race horse trainer, stock contractor, and rancher.

He was a member of the Baptist Church. He enjoyed horse races, team roping, rodeoing, and meeting his friends for lunch. He loved being with his family, visiting with friends, and tormenting his granddaughter.

Earl is survived by his wife Doris Hauth of the home; two daughters: Cindi Morris and husband Wayne of Woodward, Tami Frascht and husband Shannon of Alva; the son he never had, Larry Guthrie of Woodward who Earl thought of as his son; one granddaughter, Shawna Deeds and husband Drew of Bethany; sister-in-law, Joyce Hauth of Dallas, Texas; nephews: J.L. Spurgeon and wife Karen, Rod Hauth and wife Becky, Russel Hauth and wife Jeanette and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Dewayne Hauth, sisters Fay Diss and Dell Spurgeon.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation, Parkinson Research with the funeral home accepting the contributions.
