Carol Bennett
Carol Ann (Coates) Bennett, 77, passed away on December 8, 2019, from ongoing heart issues.She was born on December 25, 1941, in Littleton, NH, the daughter of John S. and Elizabeth E. (Wilson) Coates of Haverhill, NH. Carol attended Franklin schools, graduating class of 1959, and Franklin Pierce Community College in Concord, NH, where she received her degree in business. She was a business analyst for the former Jefferson Pilot Insurance Company and was an SEC registered principal through Jefferson Pilot Securities. Although a longtime resident of Franklin, NH, in recent years she had split her time between Amherst, NH, and Florida so she could spend more quality time with her family. She enjoyed singing in the Methodist Church Cantada, skiing, reading and traveling, but nothing compared to her love of her family. Spending countless hours with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren was her joy and passion. She researched heritage, and compiled and recorded stories about the family history for the next generations to remember. She created scrap books and videos of times gone by. Her quick wit and radiant smile could light up any room. A loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, cousin and friend, her passing will leave a huge void in many lives, but her love and legacy will remain. Carol is survived by her daughters, Wendy (Rick) Hull, of Venice, FL, and Diane M. McAuliffe, of Amherst, NH; her son, Edgar A. (Sheila) Bennett, IV, of Pensacola, FL; her brothers, Monk (Louise) Coates, of Franklin, NH, and Ernest G. Coates, of VT; and Harriet R. Lombard of Laconia, NH; twelve grandchildren: Kelly, Kimberly, Kerri, Wendy Lynne, Brandye, Jeremy, Edgar V, Grace, Cassandra, William, Lee-Ann, and Derek; and 19 great-grandchildren. Carol is predeceased by her husband of 30 years, Edgar A. Bennett, III; a sister, Betty J. Paskovich, of San Antonio, Texas; a brother, Norman B. Coates, of Henderson, NV; and two great-grandchildren, Sienna Watson and Archer Thompson. To honor her wishes, there will be no services except for a graveside service in the Spring. We welcome all friends and family to join us in a celebration of her life at that time.Obituary
