Antonio M. Ricardo, 89, passed away peacefully, at the Center for Hope Hospice in Elizabeth NJ on Saturday, December 7, 2019. He was born in Garvao, Alentejo, Beija, Portugal and came to the United States on August 10, 1974 and resided in the Ironbound Section of Newark. Antonio worked for Hudson Tool and Dye Co. in Newark for many years retiring at the age of 65. Beloved husband 60 years of Emilia Da Conceicao (nee Martins) Ricardo; devoted and loving father of Jorge A. Ricardo and his wife Elsa; brother of Ana Alves, Orquidia Silva and Fatima Moreira; cherished grandfather of Justin, Brandon and Brianna. The Funeral Service for Antonio will be held on Wednesday, December 11 at 10:30am at Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum, North Arlington, NJ. Relatives and friends are welcome to meet at the funeral home parking lot at 9:45 am promptly and follow in procession to the cemetery. Visitation for Antonio will be held on Tuesday, December 10 th from 5- 8 pm at the Buyus Funeral Home 426 Lafayette St., at Wilson Ave. Newark, NJ 07105.
