Larry Dennis

Larry Thomas Dennis, born May 12th, 1944 in Fuquay-Varina NC, passed away December 5th, 2019 in Lexington, SC at the age of 75. He is survived by his daughters, Kasey Traub (Aaron), and Kris Dennis (Nicki); a grandson Jasper Traub; siblings, Faye Barbour (Wallace), Phyllis Carter, and Sandra King (Quinn) all of Fuquay-Varina, NC. Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Grady and Evelyn Dennis. Larry was an outdoors man and a man’s man, with a love for hunting, fishing, golfing and cooking. He was a grill master and gardener, and enjoyed sharing his homemade pepper jelly. He spent his youth on his family’s farm and was a Future Farmer of America, winning many awards for “The Best Cow.” Later he spent his free time on Lake Murray with his family and friends. He worked hard, played hard and was known to ride a Harley, a Tractor and drive like a bat out of hell. He never met a stranger and was always willing to lend a helping hand. He loved his family and friends and especially spending time with his grandson, Jasper. The family will receive friends from 3-7pm on Tuesday, December 10th at Woodridge Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorials be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, South Carolina Chapter, at 107 Westpark Boulevard Suite 150, Columbia, SC 29210, or www.donate.lls.org.
