Ashlynn Simmons, 22, of Brazil, Indiana passed away on December 6, 2019 following a motor vehicle accident in Morgan County, Indiana. Ashlynn was born on May 15, 1997, in Shelbyville, Indiana the daughter of Deanna Lynn Hardey and Shai Simmons. She graduated from Northview High School with the class of 2016. She had been working for Walmart, in Brazil, Indiana. Recently, she took an assistant manager’s position at Walmart, in Martinsville. Ashlynn was a jovial, social butterfly, who loved spending time with friends and family. She loved little kids – especially her nieces and nephews. She also enjoyed shopping and attending yard sales, festivals, and reading. She is survived by her mother Deanna Hardey (Ashley Ellis); her father Shai Simmons; brothers and sisters: Adrianna Whitt and husband Caleb, Jordan Hardey, Brayden Hardey, Halle Ellis, Cainan Ellis, Brenden Ellis, Kamryn Hardey, Devon Hardey; nieces and nephews: Sophia, Adalynn, Tucker, Jasper, and Jaxon; aunts and uncles: Melissa Nauman and Mike Covert (Brenda); fiancé Trent Nevins and a special friend Danielle Bowling; paternal grandfather Bud Simmons; maternal grandparents Richard and Terri Hardey Uncles Brad Hardey, Josh Hardey, Shaun Hardey; Aunts Wendy Hardey, Sky Hardey, Jennifer Swaim as well as several cousins and extended family members and friends. Ashlynn was preceded in death by her grandparents: Linda Covert, Donna Simmons, and Mike Covert; uncles: Kevin Nauman and Shad Simmons. Services will be held at Lawson – Miller Chapel, 1702 E. National Ave. Brazil, Indiana on Monday, December 9, 2019 at 7:00pm. Visitation will be at the funeral home, on Monday, from 3pm until time of services.
