Julie Ann Mead Obituary

Julie Ann Mead passed away on November 22, 2019. Julie was born on May 29, 1963 in Detroit, the beloved daughter of Mike and Katie Mead of Beverly Hills. Julie graduated from Marian High School in 1981, having supported the volley ball team as Manager and actively participating in theatre performances. After attending college at Central Michigan University she pursued her career as office manager in the Insurance Industry and continued her interest in theatre in Royal Oak. Julie found sheer joy in needlepointing, music, movies and spending her extended summers at the family cottage in Spring Lake, Michigan. She loved spending time with her kitties and her nephew, Jason. Julie so treasured her time at the lake that she moved her permanent residence to Grand Haven this past Spring. Julie is reunited in Heaven with her parents, Mike and Katie and is survived by her brother, Mike (Susan) Mead of Sudbury, Massachusetts and her nephew Jason Mead, a freshman at The Ohio State University and my many beloved aunts, uncles and cousins who played a special role throughout her life. She is also survived by many loving friends from High School, College and from the Detroit and Spring Lake areas. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church, 32340 Pierce Street, Beverly Hills on December 14th at 11 am. Friends may begin visiting at the church beginning 10:30 am. Luncheon immediately to follow at Meriwether’s in Southfield. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Christ Child Society, 15751 Joy Road, Detroit Michigan 48228.
