David Enloe

David I. Enloe, 93, of Ottumwa, died at 8:02 a.m. December 5, 2019 at home. He was born February 15, 1926 in Ottumwa to Clarence A. and Avis C. McKitrick Enloe. David married Dorothy L. Hartley on March 24, 1950 and she preceded him in death on March 10, 2009. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. David drove a truck for many years for Barkers Poultry and owned and operated Enloe Welding. Surviving are his children, Jack (Carolyn) Enloe of Ottumwa and Donna Enloe of Eldon; 3 grandchildren, Laura Enloe, Tammy Brumbert and Kim Determan; 10 great-grandchildren including Melanie Enloe and William Geith; 13 great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Georgiamae Guyette, Evelyn (Jim) Landtiser and Doug (Sue) Enloe all of Ottumwa. He was preceded in death by a brother, DeVon Enloe. His body has been cremated. Graveside services and inurnment will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Chillicothe Cemetery with Pastor Alan Paris officiating. Military services will be conducted by Walter B. Schafer Post #775 Veterans of Foreign Wars and O.B. Nelson Post #3 American Legion. Memorials may be made to Good Samaritan Hospice. Reece Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
