JoAnn Kate Trusler Cross, age 91, a former resident of the Barbour County and more recently of Willow Tree Manor Nursing Home in Charles Town, WV, departed this life Tuesday morning December 3, 2019 at the care facility. She had been declining in health but death was unexpected. She was born October 10, 1928 at Dartmoor, WV; a daughter of the late Homer and Mona Hymes Trusler. She was united in marriage to Junior Lee Cross, who preceded her in death September 15, 1978. She is survived by two sons; Gary Cross and wife Cindy and Keith Allen Cross and companion Gracie, one daughter; Patricia Ann Cross all of Martinsburg, WV, one sister; Rosalie Rydeswski of PA. Additional survivors include six grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by two sons; Opha Steven Cross and Randall Cross, two sisters; Kate Harris and Tina McDonald. JoAnn attended the schools of Barbour County, was a homemaker and was Catholic by faith. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Friends will be received at the Talbott Funeral Home 56 N Brandenburg Street in Belington on Saturday December 7, 2019 from 12 pm – 2pm the funeral hour when final rites will be conducted from the funeral home chapel with the Pastor Howard Biller officiating.
