Christine Cole Stafford, 94, of Goliad, went to be with her Lord and Savior peacefully, Monday, December 2nd, 2019, after a lengthy illness. Visitation will be held, Friday, December 6th from 12:00PM to 2:00PM at Grace Funeral Home, 2401 Houston Hwy., in Victoria. A graveside service will follow at 2:30PM at Memorial Park Cemetery in Victoria. Christine was born March 15, 1925 in Caney, Oklahoma to the late Lester and Lillie Mae Adams Cole. Christine met the love of her life at the young age of 14 at the local skating rink. She knew at first sight she wanted to marry, Ivy Stafford. They were married, October 6th, 1940 and they shared over 73 years together before his passing in May of 2014. She became his right-hand man on the family farm and in all they did together. Christine was a loving wife, mother and friend and will be truly missed. Her bright smile and zeal for life will hold great memories for her family. Christine was preceded in death by her parents; her grandparents; and her daughter, Rebecca Tompkins. Christine is survived by her daughter, Linda Snyder and her husband, Kyle; her 4 grandchildren and 4 great-granddaughters. Thoughts and memories may be shared online at www.gracefuneralhome.net.
