His passions were his family, caring for his patients, photography, woodworking, gardening, and traveling. He is survived by his wife, Judy, and daughters, Jennifer Sugita and Janelle (Daniel) Perez, grandson Jaydan Perez, and brother John (Pam). He was predeceased by his children, Julian Makoto, Leland Shogo, and Michelle Mie. Services will be held on Wednesday December 11, 2019 at Nuuanu Memorial Park & Mortuary, Chapel of Flowers with visitation at 5:00 p.m., services at 6:00 p.m.
