Susie Lurine Brents

Springfield, IL- Susie Lurine Brents, 51, of Springfield, IL passed away at her residence on Sunday, November 22, 2019 at her residence.  Susie Lurine Brents was born on October 31, 1968 in East St. Louis, IL, the daughter of Eddie B. Lewis Sr. and Pheodosia Thomas.  Susie lived in Springfield, IL where she worked as a CNA & caretaker for many years. Susie also raised her four children.  Susie was also very active in helping raise her and great-grandchildren, she loved them dearly and it was always on her mind to make sure all her babies were okay, and they had what they needed. Her presence will certainly be missed.  Susie leaves to cherish her loving memories, her husband; John W. Brents, her four loving children; James T. Lewis of New Jersey, Sharmel Lewis, Aaron A. Miller, Jonacè all of Springfield, IL. She also leaves to cherish her memories her lovely mother; Pheodosia M. Thomas, 11 beautiful grandchildren, 4 brothers; Emauel H. Lewis, Timothy B. Lewis Edward e. Thomas III, and Stephen E. Thomas, 3 sisters; Joyce E. Thomas Hubbard, Pheodesia M. Thomas, Sherri L. Thomas and a host of many other family and friends.   Susie was preceded in death by Eddie B. Lewis and Edward E. Thomas II.
