Roger Lee Rader

Roger Lee Rader, 75, of Hominy Falls passed away on Friday evening, November 22, 2019 at Peyton Hospice House, Lewisburg. Born on May 5, 1944, at Richwood, he was the son of the late Arlie Isaac Rader and Myrtle McCutcheon Rader. Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Alma R. Rader on November 16, 2018 and a brother, Paul Rader. Roger was a loving husband, father, grandfather and a friend to all who knew him. He was a member of the Penile United Methodist Church; he was also a member of the Rainelle Moose Lodge and several hunting clubs. He was in the Army reserves for 6 years and was a retired coal miner with 40 plus years. He is survived by three daughters: Christina (Chip) of Callahan, FL, Cindy (Greg) Loss of Summersville, WV and Ellen (Justin) Rider of Corliss, WV; 4 sisters, Mary (David) Jones of Hominy Falls, Jane (Jennings) O’Dell of Buckhorn, Virginia Boone of Hominy Falls and Janice Kimlin of Rainelle; 10 grandchildren, Gregory, Nikki, Brooklynn, Taylor, Devon, Gracie, Preslie, Cameron, Addison and Jaxon; 1 great grandchild, Gregory. Service will be 1:00 p.m., Friday, November 29, 2019 at Wallace & Wallace Chapel, Rainelle with Pastor Troy George officiating. Burial will follow at the Hominy Falls Cemetery, Hominy Falls. Friends may call at the funeral chapel from 12:00 noon until time of service.
