Joyce H. Leslie (nee Hubbs) age 81, of Sewell passed away peacefully at home on Friday, November 22, 2019. Born on March 31, 1938 to Helena F. (Munyon) and George H. Hubbs, Joyce spent her early childhood in Mantua and later moved to Woodbury where she attended West End Memorial Elementary and Woodbury High School, graduating with the class of 1956. On March 15, 1958, Joyce married Harry Leslie of Woodbury and moved to their new home in Sewell, where they remained to this day. Their two daughters, Jill and Jodi were also raised there. As a teen, Joyce enjoyed baseball, often pitching or hitting fly-balls to the neighborhood boys, roller skating and tap dancing and sometimes tap dancing on roller skates. She was a member of the Woodbury Jr. Woman's Club until age 35 and helped to found S.O.D.A.T. and Robin's Nest. Joyce also created beautiful scrapbooks for the Club's annual convention in Atlantic City, often winning top prizes. In later life, Joyce served many years in the Clearview Band Auxiliary and enjoyed spending time with her grandson, George. Joyce is survived by her husband, Harry of Sewell; daughters; Jill Wiese (George) of Greenville, Maine and National Park, and Jodi Leslie of Sewell; grandson, George Wiese, III and partner Tabitha Day of Stoneham, Maine; brothers-in-law, Robert Wakley and Donald Leslie; sister-in-law, Sondra "Sunny" Leslie, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; sister, Betty Wakley; sisters-in-law, Doris Corson and Mary Leslie; brother-in-law, Norman Leslie; and nephew Bruce Leslie. Family and friends are invited to attend a Graveside Service 11 am Friday, November 29th at Eglington Cemetery 320 Kings Highway Clarksboro, NJ.
