Joan Ellen Toney, 69, of Dothan, passed away on November 21, 2019. She was born in Greencastle, WV to the late Eugene and Annie Massey Sumpter. Joan was preceded in death by her daughter, Brandy Lynn Toney, her parents and 3 brothers. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, John D Toney Sr., her children: Anna May Arnold (Ivan), Shelia Rose Warden (Steve), and John David Toney Jr. She will be missed by her eight grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and a very large extended family. Funeral services will be on Monday, November 25, 2019 at 2:00 pm at High Lawn Funeral Home. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the service. Pastor Lum Toney will be officiating.
