Deborah Marie Adams

Deborah Marie Adams, age 69 of Grand Rapids, died Thursday, November 21, 2019 at Faith Hospice at Trillium Woods.  She was born April 17, 1950 in Arlington, VA, the daughter of Edward and Marvel (Mason) Linnan.  Deb graduated with the class of 1968 from Northview High School, where she excelled in many areas, including as an honor student and cheerleader.  She went on to earn a Bachelor of Education degree from Western Michigan University.  She worked for many years as a real estate agent.  Deb lived in Allegan for 20 years, where she was an active part of the community, before returning to Grand Rapids.  She was an athlete and a sports enthusiast, and especially loved watching her daughters’ tennis matches.  She was a proud and loving “Nana” to her grandchildren.  Deb was preceded in death by her father, Edward Linnan and brother, Paul Linnan.  She is survived by her mother, Marvel Linnan of Greenville; daughters, Sandra (Michael) Massop of Grand Rapids, Laura (Channing) Finkbeiner of Hudsonville, Sarah Adams of North Carolina, and Lindsay (Christopher) Gentz of Newaygo; grandchildren, Noah, Nash, Lincoln, Gabriel, and Luke; husband, Larry Adams; and many other relatives and friends.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, with visitation from 10:00 to 11:00 am at church prior to the service.  Rev. Betsy Kamphuis will serve as officiant.  Private interment will be in South Sidney Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be given to Northview High School to support the tennis program.
