Our beloved Leonardo "Leonard" "Big Flo" "Lenny" Merino Flores, age 63, a life-long resident of East Austin, was born into Eternal Life on Tuesday, November 19, 2019. He is reunited with his parents, Geronimo Flores and Rachel Merino Lara; his brothers, Arturo Merino Flores, Geronimo "Jerry" Merino Flores, Jr., Juan Merino Flores, and Gilbert Merino Flores; his sisters-in-law, Cordelia Flores and Carolina Flores. Leonardo is survived by his fur-babies, Rascal, Hashbrown, and Samantha; his brothers, Robert Merino Flores, and his wife, Diana, and John R. Lara, and his wife, Araceli; his sister, Maria de Jesus Ramirez; his sister-in-law, Beatrice Flores; numerous nieces and nephews, other family members, and many friends. Leonardo's family calls Arturo Flores, John Flores, Robert Flores, Jr., Gilbert Reyes, Joey Sandoval, Raymond Lara, Alejandro Lara, and Cristian Lara to the position of Honored Pallbearers. Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m., with Recitation of the Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m., on Monday, November 25, 2019, at Mission Funeral Home - East Side, 1615 East Cesar Chavez Street, Austin, Texas. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. the following morning, Tuesday, November 26, 2019, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 1206 East Ninth Street, Austin, Texas. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
