Margarita Caro

On November 19, 2019, Margarita “Maggie” Caro of La Vernia, Texas passed into the arms of her Heavenly Father at the age of 72. Maggie was born on March 19, 1947 in Kingsville, Texas to Feliciano “Chano” Longoria and Maria Valles Longoria. Maggie is preceded in death by her father; sister, Maria Luisa Jones; and grandmother, Soledad Valles. Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 49 years, René Caro; children, Renée Caro, Ruy R. Caro; mother, Maria Longoria; siblings, Manuel Longoria (Eudelia) and Viola Johnson (David); nieces and nephews, Manuel Longoria, Jr., John Jones and family, and Sarita Elliott and family; and many other loving family and friends. Visitation will be held on Monday, November 25, 2019, 12:30pm-1:30pm with the Rosary Vigil beginning at 1:30pm at St. Ann Catholic Church in La Vernia. Burial will take place on Tuesday, December 3, 2019, 2:30pm at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio.
