Vera L. Mays, 61, of Ravenna, passed on Thursday, November 14, 2019 at her home surrounded by family and friends. She was born on June 14, 1958 in Ravenna, Ohio, the daughter of Barbara Flynt and James Mays. Vera is survived by her sons, Noah (Suzanne) Mays of Ravenna, Tony (Heather) Mays of Dayton and Andy Stacy of Ravenna; her grandsons, Christopher, Jacob and James; Dicy Stacy, her significant other and life-long friend; her sister, Mary (Tim) Burge; her sister-in-law, Debbie Neff; her aunts, Nancy Mentzer and Joan Cebulski; her eight nieces; her three nephews and many great nieces and nephews. Vera was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Greg Neff and Winford Neff; her nephew, Gregory Neff, Jr. and her niece, Holly Warner. A memorial service will take place on Saturday, November 23, 2019 at Summit Road Baptist Church, 3336 Summit Road, Ravenna, Ohio. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with the memorial service to be held at 5:00 p.m. with Ron Murphy as officiant.
