Winifred H. Jackson

Winifred H. Jackson, 90, of Camillus passed away Saturday at The Centers at St. Camillus. Born in Syracuse, she received her B.A. in Music from Syracuse University in 1950. Winnie was a member of Immanuel United Methodist Church and enjoyed spending time with her family. Winnie was predeceased by her husband of 66 years, Charles S. Jackson. Surviving are her children Beth (Bryan) Barner of Camillus, NY, James (Lee) Jackson of Cobbs Creek, VA, and Amy (Michael) Himes of Bridgeport, NY; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Services will be Friday, November 22 at 1:00 p.m. in Immanuel United Methodist Church, 303 Kasson Rd., Camillus. Winnie will be laid to rest in Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery, next to her husband Charles. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Immanuel United Methodist Church, or to one’s favorite charity.
