William Smith Obituary

William L. Smith, 72, of Clymer, died Saturday, November 16, 2019 at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh. Born, March 25, 1947 in Indiana, he was a son of the late Charles W. Kuczer and Anna Belle (Johns) Smith. Bill worked as a self-employed auto mechanic. He was known by many as a jack of all trades. Besides automotive work, he also did radio repair, carpentry, and electrical work. He was always busy and extremely knowledgeable. Bill often offered assistance as well as advice to anyone who asked. He also enjoyed the outdoors and was an animal lover, especially his cats. Bill served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Campaign. He is survived by his siblings: Theodore Smith, of Clymer; Edward Smith and wife Sue, of Indiana; Kenneth Smith and wife Elaine, of Indiana; Arlene Buterbaugh and husband Richard, of Purchase Line; Russell Smith, of Indiana; Virginia Janosko and husband Dan, of Clymer; and Emma Hobart and husband Henry, of Homer City. He will also be missed by many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews, his half-sister, Mary Ann Matasic and husband Tom, of Austintown, OH; and their children, as well as many friends. In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his sister, Kathryn Smith. Following Bill’s wishes, service arrangements will be private.
