Charlsie N. Woody

Charlsie N. Woody, 93, of Huntsville, passed away Saturday, November 16, 2019. Born in Colbert County, her family moved to Madison County where she lived the remainder of her life. She grew up on Clinton Street and walked to her church on Holmes Ave every Sunday. She was married to Robert E. Woody for 60 years and worked in the office of Dunnavants before starting their family. In 1946, they moved to the family home and farm where they raised their children. Survivors include daughter, Phyllis W. Holland and husband, Hank; son, Robert Douglas Woody and wife, Kathy; grandsons, Lee Holland, Brett Holland, and Robert Douglas Woody, Jr.; granddaughters, Sheree Holland, Samantha Baugher and Deidra Needle; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Visitation will be from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 21st, at Holmes St. United Methodist. The service will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Todd Owen officiating. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery. Flowers or memorials to the Building Fund at Holmes Street United Methodist Church would be appreciated.
