Stephanie Anne Thompson

Stephanie Anne Thompson, age 58 of Valdosta and Missouri City, Texas, passed peacefully from this life on November 16, 2019 at her daughters’ residence. Born September 20, 1961, in Atlanta, daughter of Karl Thompson and Kathryn Walker, Stephanie was a Special Education Teacher with the Lowndes County School System for 30 years. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Stephanie received her bachelor’s degree in special education and her master’s in technology from Valdosta State College. She moved away from Valdosta for ten years to care for her father, but her heart was always at home here in Valdosta. Stephanie enjoyed community service work and her hobbies included crafting. Survivors are her daughter, Roxanne (Christopher) Corbett, grandchildren, Mason Corbett and Emily Corbett and her mother, Kathryn Walker all of Valdosta; her brother Stephen Warren of Atlanta and her sister, Sarah Warren of Valdosta. Stephanie was preceded in death by her father, Karl Virgil Thompson. A visitation for family and friends will be held at the Carson McLane Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 20, 2019 from 5 – 7 p.m. Condolences may be conveyed online at www.mclanecares.com.
