APERS, Catharina Sara (nee LeGrand) Peacefully at the Emmanuel House Hospice, Catharina was called home to the LORD on Saturday November 16, 2019 at the age of 83 years. Beloved wife of the late Andre (2016), and loved mother of Cathy and Patrick Smith, Anne and Mark Henry, and James Apers and Sara vanBarneveld. Dear Oma of the late Ryan Smith, Rebecca and Scott Verbeek, Richard and Stacie Vos (Elle and Mieke), Nathan Vos and Melissa Thomas (Theodore and Grace), Michael and Leanne Vos (Owen), Matthew Hutter, Arienne and Eric Stevenson, and Nolan Apers. Catharina was born in 1935 in Oostburg, the Netherlands. After immigrating in 1957, she married her best friend and they enjoyed 61 wonderful years of family, faith, travel, and friends. Together they enriched the lives of many people. Friends may visit with the family at CORNERSTONE CANADIAN REFORMED CHURCH, 353 Stone Church Rd. E., Hamilton on Monday, November 25, 2019 from 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. where a Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at 11 a.m., Rev. John Louwerse officiating. Reception to follow in the church hall. Donations to the Cornerstone Church Deaconry would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
