Florine “Flo” Erma Wood passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 16, 2019 at the age of 96 years. Flo was born February 27, 1923 in Detroit to Joseph and Erma (Bartz) Gayman. She married her sweetheart, Russell Joseph Wood April 12, 1947 and they shared 59 loving years together. She was a wonderful wife, devoted mother and a doting grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a well-loved resident at Rose Senior Living. Her caring heart led her to volunteer at what is now Henry Ford Hospital as well as the Clinton Township Library. Always active, she enjoyed playing Bingo and Wii Bowling. One of her favorite hobbies was shopping in her favorite stores, such as Macy’s, the Christmas Tree Store, and Target. Flo enhanced the lives of those she met. She will be greatly missed by her loving family and friends. Flo is survived by her children, Carol (Ted) Bak, Barbara (Paul) Raicevich, and Christine (Thomas) Crimmins; grandchildren, Thomas (Lisa) Putnam, Ryan (Christie) Putnam, Eric (Jennifer) Raicevich, Colleen (Anthony) Aiello, Jamie (Vince) Vitale, Christopher (Clare) Crimmins, and Benjamin (Courtney) Crimmins; and 15 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Russell; her parents, Joseph and Erma Gayman; and brother, Joseph Gayman. Visitation for Flo will be held on Tuesday, November 19, 2019 at 9:00 a.m. at St. Isidore Catholic Church, 18201 23 Mile Road, Macomb. Mass will follow at 10:00 a.m. at the church. Flo will be buried at Resurrection Cemetery, Clinton Township. In lieu of flowers, donations in her honor may be made to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
