Nunda- Joan M. Barney age 73, passed away Saturday morning November 16, 2019, at the Livingston County Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Mt. Morris, where she had been a resident for the past few weeks. She was born in Dalton on November 27, 1945, a daughter of the late Kenneth and Ruth (Jackson) Barney. Joan was a graduate of the University of Buffalo and the Wyoming County Community Hospital School of Nursing where she earned her Registered Nursing License. She was a Registered Nurse at Wyoming County Community Hospital, Tri-County Family Medicine, SUNY Geneseo Health Center, and Genesee Valley Cardiology. She attended the Nunda Trinity Church in Nunda every Sunday. She is survived by her daughter Marnie (Thomas) Hillier of Nunda; two granddaughters, Michaela and Lacey Hillier; a sister Sharron (Robert) Lovelace and her very dear friend Donald Germack. Friends may call Saturday November 23, from 1-3 pm at the Nunda Trinity Church, 25 East St., where a memorial service will follow calling hours. Interment will be in Union Cemetery, Dalton.
