SCHLITER, Patricia Ann – of Clio, age 84 died Thursday, November 14, 2019 at her residence. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Monday, November 18, 2019 from 1-8 PM, with a scripture prayer service at 7PM Monday evening. Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated, in memory of Patricia, at 11:00 AM Tuesday, November 19, 2019 at Saints Charles & Helena Church in Clio. Patricia was born September 27, 1935 in Edwards Township, Michigan to the late Harry D. and Elizabeth (Knepfler) Buckel. She graduated from Winegar School in Gladwin. On January 8, 1955 she married Arzell Schliter in West Branch, Michigan. She worked as a letter carrier for the USPS for over 26 years, retiring in 1992. Patricia was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She loved her family. Patricia enjoyed travel, camping, gardening, reading and was an avid Detroit Tigers Fan. She was the family “organizer” that could rally the troops. Patricia attended Ss. Charles and Helena Catholic Church and was active in numerous areas of service and functions within the Church. She was also a member of the Angelic Red Hat Society. As an active board member, Patricia was involved in the transitioning of the old senior center to the new Clio Senior Center. Left to cherish her memory are her Children: Gregory (Kelly) Schliter of Clio, Rodney (Deborah) Schliter of Clio, Beth (Ray) Lind of Phoenix AZ, and Lori (Alan) Augustine of Lyons; Brother, Charles (Pauline); Grandchildren: Brandy Barker, Jennifer Lind-Schutsky, Stephanie Schliter, Kayla Greninger, Brittany Lind, and Zac Schliter; Grandson-in-law, Cayle McElhiney; 8 great grandchildren; Close friends, especially Pat Crooks and Nicole Binelli, and her dog/best friend, Daisy. She was preceded in death by Husband Arzell (Art) in 1983; Sons: Bruce and Keith; Granddaughter, Jessica McElhiney; Brothers: Edward Buckel, Robert Buckel, and Russell Buckel; Sister: Judith Schick.
