Rebecca Jo Ganoung (Mayfield)

Rebecca Jo (Mayfield) Ganoung passed away on Saturday, April 16, 2016 at her home in Plainville, Kansas at the age of 54. She was born on May 12, 1961 in Hays, Kansas to Melvin H. and Leona R. (Werth) Mayfield. She grew up in Hays and attended Hays High School. She was married to Craig Ganoung and they later divorced. Living in Eagle Rock, Missouri, on Table Rock Lake, allowed Becky to enjoy fishing and boating whenever she wanted to. She also liked to play a good game of cards, especially Texas Hold’em. But the time she loved the most was when it was spent with family and friends hanging out, laughing, enjoying each other’s company, and just being together. She was preceded in death by her parents Melvin and Leona Mayfield, and a brother Gary Mayfield. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, April 30, 2016 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Plainville. Memorials are suggested to the Rebecca Ganoung Memorial Fund and may be sent in care of Plumer-Overlease Funeral Home, 320 SW 2nd Street, Plainville, KS 67663.
