Evelyn Jenkins Hamm, 85, passed away Saturday, November 9, 2019. She was born in Raleigh, North Carolina to the late Henry and Vera King Jenkins. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 62 years, Jerdon “Jerry” Hamm and a son, Jerry McKinnon “Kenny” Hamm; her brother, Gentry W. Jenkins. She was a retired assembly line worker for Westinghouse Corporation. She is survived by two daughters, Terry Brinkley and husband Russell and Evelyn C. Krolikowski; three grandchildren, Tanya Negron, Jacob Brinkley and Jesse Brinkley ; six great grandchildren; and a host of loving extended family and friends. A funeral service will be held 3 P.M. Wednesday, November 13, at Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel by Rev. Steve Grimie. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Raleigh, NC. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
