New Iberia - Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm on Tuesday, November 12, 2019, at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia for Perry Joseph LeBlanc, 76, who passed away on Saturday, November 9, 2019, in Abbeville. Entombment will follow in Holy Family Cemetery. Rev. Garrett Savoie will officiate. A gathering of family and friends will be Tuesday from 8:00 am until 3:00 pm at Pellerin Funeral Home. A rosary, led by the Men’s Rosary Group, will be prayed at 11:00 am Tuesday. A lifelong area resident, Mr. LeBlanc was born in Coteau on February 19, 1943 to the late Rickie and Paula Gary LeBlanc. He was a diesel mechanic and welder, having worked for Breaux’s Bay Craft in Loreauville, James L. Gray, and Geo Marine at the Port of Iberia. Mr. LeBlanc enjoyed dancing, listening to French music, camping, and most of all spending time with his family. Survivors include his sons, Kevin J. LeBlanc and wife Katherine Lancon LeBlanc of New Iberia, Kirk LeBlanc and wife Michelle Mergist LeBlanc of Maine; daughters, Lynndale LeBlanc Sonnier and husband Mark of New Iberia, Shawndell LeBlanc Hebert and husband Dudless "Doug" Hebert of New Iberia; grandchildren, Kyle Luke LeBlanc, Fallon LeBlanc Louviere, Joshua J. Hebert, Casey Dore, Celina Dore, Kirk LeBlanc, Jr., Brittany LeBlanc, Jacob LeBlanc, Amber Sonnier Smith, Dillon Sonnier; great grandchildren, Tanner Hebert, Tucker Hebert, Zoie Louviere, Destiny Louivere, Dillon Louivere, Mark Louivere, Jr., Ashton Segura, Sadie Segura, Lexie Segura, Averyn LeBlanc, Rhylee LeBlanc, Kaylee LeBlanc; sisters, Olga Bourque and husband A.J. of Coteau, Charlene Menard and husband Robert of Coteau, Priscilla LeBlanc Gutierrez of Houston, Texas. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby LeBlanc; son, Perry J. LeBlanc, Jr.; maternal grandmother, Natalie Romero; great grandson, Hunter Segura; sister, Mary Alice LeBlanc Arceneaux; beloved dog, "T-Boy"; brothers-in-law, Orice Arceneaux, Wesley “Neg” Maturin;; sisters-in-law, Yvonne Maturin, Katherine "Kitty" Champagne; mother-in-law, Gladys Bourque Maturin; father-in-law, Norris Maturin, Sr.; and a grandson, Travis Melancon. Pallbearers will be Kyle LeBlanc, Joshua Hebert, Dudless "Doug" Hebert, Mark Louivere, Sr., and Kevin LeBlanc. Honorary pallbearers include Tucker Hebert, and Tanner Hebert.
