Jack J. Duell

Canandaigua - Jack J. Duell, age 90, passed away after a long illness, on Friday, November 8, 2019. He is survived by his daughter, Jessie A. (Rev. Gerald E. Sr.) Craker; granddaughter-in-law, Jaymee Craker; two great-granddaughters, Christi Elizabeth Craker and Bailey Craker; niece, Sue Duell; nephew, Brandt Duell; and cousins. He was predeceased by his wife of 57 years, Rhea L. Duell, in 2012; grandson, Gerald E. Craker, Jr., in 2019; and brother, Philip Duell. Jack was born in Santa Rosa, CA and was the son of Joseph and Ruth (Eddy) Duell. He and his family moved to Irondequoit in 1932. Jack was a US Army veteran, serving with the Second Armored Division ("Hell on Wheels") in Germany after WWII. He and Rhea moved to Canandaigua in 1975, where they designed and built their own home. Jack retired from Eastman Kodak Co. after many years there. He enjoyed hunting, skiing, woodworking, horses and his German Shepherd dogs. Friends may call Tuesday, from 4-7 pm, at Johnson-Kennedy Funeral Home, Inc., 2 South Ave., Bloomfield. His funeral service will be held Wednesday, at 11 am, at the funeral home. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Bristol. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Pilgrim Holiness Church of Canandaigua, 3286 Smith Rd., Canandaigua, NY 14424.
