Marica Kay Hickman

Marcia K.Hickman, resident of Ponca City, Oklahoma, went to her Heavenly home on Friday, November 8, 2019 at the age of 72. A memorial ceremony will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, November 12, 2019 in the Trout Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Linda Sherry officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home & Crematory. Marcia was born on November 10, 1946 to Glen Hickman and Charlotte Louise Koller Hickman in Ponca City, Oklahoma. She grew up in Ponca City, OK and earned her BA from Colorado Women's College in 1969 and her MA from LSU in 1972. She was a teacher, an owner of International Tours from 1976 to 1990, a travel company manager, and a director of the Literacy Council. She enjoyed playing bridge, reading, and listening to music and was a lifelong member of the First Presbyterian Church. Marcia is survived by her niece, Sheryl Collum and husband, Henry D. of Texas, great niece, Dala Housel, husband, Jason and their children of Texas, nephew, Steven Oyler and wife, Kathy of Anchorage, AK, great niece, Shay Griffen and husband Kyle of TN, great-great-nieces Myah Griffen and Aevyn Griffen of TN, great-nephew, Bret Oyler of AK, great-niece, Amy Hellmich and husband, Brian of OK, great-great nieces, Kylie, Payton, and Kayda Hellmich of OK, nephew, Greg Oyler and wife, Sheila of CA, great-nephew, Hunter Oyler of CA, nephew, David Oyler and wife Petra of TX, great-niece, Brandy Oyler of WA, great-nephew Eric Oyler and wife Jerahka of WA, great-great-nephew, Gregory Oyler and great-great niece, Alliayah as well as many cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Sue Hickman Oyler, and her great-nephew, Justin Collum.
