Carl "Chuck" Gray Obituary

Carl “Chuck” Gray, 83, of Hot Springs Village passed away April 25, 2016. He was born on September 12, 1932, in New York City to the late Estelle Lila (Kirk) Damen and stepfather Eugene Damen. Chuck served the nation a total of 35 years, including three with the Army (Constabulary) and four in the Air Force. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Hot Springs Village and NARFE. Chuck enjoyed spending time with family, dancing, playing cards, fishing, bowling and classical music. He is preceded in death by a sister, Karen (Damen) Meekins. Survivors include his loving wife of 59 years, Jane Gray; daughters Lorri Elizabeth Wilkins (Clay) of Herndon, Virginia, and Patrice Annette Svitak (George) of Tucson, Arizona; son Charles Timothy “Tim” Gray (Natasha) of Hockley, Texas; half-brothers Joseph Eugene Damen (Maria) of Laurel, Delaware, and John David Damen of Seaford, Delaware, six grandchildren, and one great grandchild. Rosary will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 30, 2016 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Hot Springs Village, with a Funeral Mass at 1:00 p.m. followed by a Celebration of his life.
