Dennis G. Swalls

Dennis G. Swalls, 65, of Brazil, Indiana, passed away at Gibson Family Center for Hospice Care, on November 4, 2019 following a short battle with cancer. Dennis was born in Terre Haute, Indiana on August 9, 1954 the son of Donald Gene and Mary Jo (Lanning) Swalls. Dennis graduated from Brazil High School with the class of 1972. He graduated from Ivy Tech in 1973. Following college he worked as a pipefitter for Pitman - Moore for many years before going into sales at Praxair. Dennis was an avid fisherman and a member of the Wabash Valley Jeep Junkies. He is survived by his parents Gene and Mary Jo Swalls; his wife Connie (Brown) Swalls whom he married on July 20, 1974; children: USAF Captain Clint Swalls and wife Kori of Las Cruces, NM and Jaleen Royer and husband Justin of Avon, IN; grandchildren: Tate Swalls, Julian Swalls, and Lanning Royer; siblings: Ken Swalls of Brazil and Alan Swalls and wife Robin of Brazil; as well as many extended family members and friends. Visitation will be at Lawson – Miller Chapel, 1702 E. National Ave. Brazil, Indiana 47834, on Thursday, November 7, 2019 from 4-6pm. Services will follow at the funeral home at 6:00 with Pastor Mark Miller officiating. Private burial services will be held at Roselawn Cemetery at a later date.
