Obituary

Klaus Joachim Keunecke of Lambton Shores passed quietly surrounded by his loving family. He was an amazing husband, father, brother, Opa, uncle and he will remain forever in our hearts.

Klaus leaves behind his best friend, wife and life partner Marilyn Keunecke-Smith. His much-loved family, Ted (Shauna) Keunecke, Michael (Amy) Keunecke, Stepson Jordan Smith, stepdaughters Jillian (Derek) Smith and Laura (Erik) Smith. Adorable and full of joy his grandchildren, Emily, Trinity, Abby, Sophie, Elizabeth-Jane, Colton & Ava. Great support from his brother Dieter (Renata) Keunecke, Sisters Karin (Uwe †) Prohl, and Helga (Rick †) Howald. Brother and sister in law, Chris and Terrie Dewsbury, the Dewsbury family and many wonderful nieces and nephews on both sides.

VISIONARY FOR LIFE

Klaus was instrumental in starting up the Lambton Shores Nature Trails (LSNT) over 8 years ago and his heart and soul right to the end, was in the service of our communities and the clearing of the trails to provide, 'Connected, safe user-friendly trails' for all ages, for generations to come.

His ultimate vision was to see natural bridges built between all of our communities with a common goal bigger than us all, to connect and preserve our beautiful 'Gems of Nature' via hiking trails in Lambton Shores and Vicinity. The ULTIMATE outcome would be the creation of a Biosphere here in our area for all life to coexist and thrive.

Our wish is that donations go to the LSNT Trailhead Project in Port Franks in Memory of Klaus

Joachim Keunecke.
