RICHARD NICHOLAS FROMMEYER

Richard Nicholas Frommeyer, 76 of Union, KY passed away peacefully at his home with his wife, children, and grandchildren by his side on Saturday, April 16, 2016. He was a retired salesman with Flint Ink. A former volunteer firefighter for Bellevue, KY, a member of St. Timothy Parish, and a member of the Bob White Club. He loved fishing and pinochle at the club. He also enjoyed golf, traveling, walking, dinners with the Friday night group, and being with family. Rich served our country in the United States Army. He enjoyed watching his grandchildren play sports and taking them on fun trips and adventures. Rich was preceded in death by his parents Albert & Victoria (Gerding) Frommeyer, sister-in-law Lynn Frommeyer, Brothers-in-law Tom Hundemer & Jim Shumate. Rich is survived by his wife of 55 years, Martha (Cass) Frommeyer, a son Richard and Shelley (Funke) Frommeyer of Alexandria, KY, a daughter Susan and (Richard) Early of Taylor Mill and 7 grandchildren Mekenzie, Joshua, Jordan, Jake, Jacob, Brooke, and Grace. He is also survived by a brother Albert Frommeyer, and four sisters Geraldine Hundemer, Shirley Shumate, Dorothy (Ron) Schultz, and Lori (Sam) Roberts. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Friday April 22, 2016 at St. Timothy Catholic Church in Union, KY. Mass to immediately follow at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be Saturday, May 14, 2016 at St. Stephens’s Cemetery, Fort Thomas, KY at 10:00 a.m. with full military honors. Memorials are suggested to St. Timothy School Fund P.O. Box 120, Union, KY 41091 or St. Elizabeth Healthcare Cancer Center, 1 Medical Village Drive, Edgewood, KY 41017.
