Glinda was born on April 16, 1949 in San Bernardino, California to John D. “Swede” and Eunice Jo (Blaylock) Panter. She passed away on April 16, 2016, on her 67th birthday.
Glinda was a wife, mom and homemaker to her family; she loved cooking and had owned and managed several restaurants over the years. She has lived in Locust Grove the past 20 years and had attended Church at Exciting Southeast Baptist Church. She was married to Vernon Willis on April 16, 2000 in Las Vegas. Glinda loved sewing and painting but her greatest love was for her family, especially her kids and grandkids. She had a big heart that she extended to many people; she was always willing to help and was good to everyone she knew. She had a passion for animals and loved her Pekinese dogs. She will be missed by all who shared in her life.
She is survived by her husband, Vernon Willis of the home; two sons, Terry Silkey Jr. and wife Christy of Peggs and John Silkey of Locust Grove; three grandchildren, Cailyn, Ciera and Frankie and other special family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters.
