Margie Lee Short

Margie Lee Short was born May 14th, 1921 to the late Nelson Spangler and Mary Elizabeth Combs Spangler in Crafts Collie, Kentucky. She passed away October 28th, 2019 at the age of 98 years old. Margie was the wife of 54 years to the late Hillard Short. Besides her husband and parents, Margie was also preceded in death by her son, Johnny B. Short, five brothers and three sisters. Margie leaves to cherish her memory three daughters, Mary Eva Short Holesapple of Pickaway, West Virginia, Jeorlene Short Mitchell of Sellersburg, Indiana and Paula Short Davis of Depauw, Indiana; son, Alexander Short of Kissimmee, Florida; two sisters, Laura Vann and Una Sheard both of Ohio; five grandchildren; ten great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Thursday, October 31st from 4pm-8pm at Spring Valley Funeral Home, New Albany, Indiana. A service will be held Friday, November 1st at 11am, also at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Kraft Graceland on Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana. Spring Valley Funeral Home is honored to be of service to the Short family
