Rashid, Georgia Mary Milford, Michigan Her Legacy… Georgia Mary Rashid, 93, passed away October 28, 2019. She was born on October 08, 1926, in Detroit, Michigan to Jim Backus and Edith (Trett) Backus. Georgia married the love of her life, Philip Rashid, on June 15, 1947. She will be remembered as loving, strong, fearless, and giving. Georgia loved music and enjoyed singing. She will be missed immensely. Her Family… Georgia will be missed by all of her 10 children, including Philip (Tina), Michelle (Mark), Yvonne, Jim (Cindy) , Annie, Katy (Pat), Evy (Tim); 31 grandchildren; 42 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Philip Rashid; parents, Jim and Edith Backus; and her sister Louise. Her Farewell… Georgia’s family and friends will gather Wednesday, November 6, 2019 from 5:00-8:00pm at Borek Jennings Funeral Home, Hamburg Chapel. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, November 7, 2019 at 11:00am (10:00am gathering) at St. Mary’s, Our Lady of the Snows, 1955 E. Commerce, Milford, MI. 48381 .
