Mary Adeline Campbell
Mary Adaline Campbell, 100, of Mayfield, formerly of Wickliffe, Kentucky and Cairo, Illinois, passed away on Friday, October 25, 2019 at Jackson Purchase Medical Center. She was born on June 7, 1919 in Carlisle County to the late Otis Burgess and Mary Ann Watson Burgess. She was a member of 1st Baptist Church of Wickliffe. She was the founding president of the Ballard County Association for Special Needs Children along with a Tupperware manager for Ballard and Carlisle Counties. Mary was a graduate of beauty school in St. Louis, Missouri. Mary is survived by three sons, Thomas W. Campbell (Jean) of Mayfield, Richard Alan Campbell of Kevil, Terry Lee Campbell of Mayfield; two sisters, Betty Burgess Brower (Russell) of Mayfield, Sue Burgess Jones of Columbus; one brother, Joe W. Burgess (Joyce) of Bardwell; four grandchildren, Tommy Campbell (Kelly), Shelley Stipp (Joe), Scott Campbell (Milo), Stacey Hayden (Jon); two great-grandchildren, Joey Stipp and Benjamin Stipp. She was preceded in death by her husband, John William “Bill” Campbell; three sisters, Leatha Yancy, Faye Gibson, Francis McChristian; one brother, Ronald “Trot” Burgess and her parents. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Roselawn Cemetery with Rev. Ronnie Burgess officiating. Visitation will be held on Monday, October 28, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Wickliffe.
