Emerita Simmerman 1929-2019 Maryville, MO -Agnes Emerita Simmerman, 89, of Maryville, Missouri formerly of Conception Jct. Missouri passed away on Thursday, October 24, 2019 at the Maryville Living Center. Emerita was born on October 26, 1929 in Maryville to the late Aloysius and Anna Elizabeth, (Durbin) Wiederholt. She was a graduate of Immaculate Conception School and member of St. Columba Catholic Church. Emerita was a homemaker and loved to spend time with her grandchildren and enjoyed her cats. She married Cecil Ray Simmerman May 10, 1949 at the Basilica in the Abbey, Conception, Missouri. He preceded her in death on July 4, 2015. Surviving include her children, Richard (Sheila) Simmerman, Stanberry, Missouri, Robert (Beth) Simmerman, Conception Junction, Missouri, Dennis (Angie) Simmerman, Guilford, Missouri, Joyce (Bob) Stiens, Ravenwood, Missouri and Karen (Dennis) Kemper, Lawrenceville, Georgia; brother Martin Wiederholt, Kansas City, Missouri and sister, Alicia Justice, St. Joseph, Missouri; eighteen grandchildren and thirty-one great-grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial 11am Monday, October 28, 2019 at St. Columba Catholic Church, Conception Jct, Missouri with burial following at St. Columba Cemetery, Conception, Missouri. Rosary 5pm Sunday, October 27th at St. Columba Catholic Church. The family will receive friends following the rosary. The family suggests memorials to Mosaic Hospice of Maryville.
